New House Campaign

Campaign For ΣΧcellence

The new Sigma Chi House will be situated on land leased from the UA at 1511 E. First St. at the northeast corner of First and Vine. The project, which is beginning detailed design, will be comprised of lodge and residential components. Downstairs the lodge will contain a library/living room, a foyer, public bathrooms, a multipurpose room, and a kitchen. A chapter room/brotherhood room will be upstairs in the lodge over the multipurpose room. There will also be one two-man residential suite, an office, and laundry facilities. The residential portion (at the rear of the building) will contain 12 two-man suites and three four-man suites in three stories. The total project will contain between 14,000 and 15,000 square feet when completed. Its exterior architecture is reminiscent of an earlier Beta Phi Chapter house at UA. The schedule calls for a summer 2013 construction start with the building ready for occupancy at the start of the 2014 -2015 school year.

Introduction & Campaign Donor Instructions

We encourage each of you to make a personal donation to the current New House Capital Campaign in order for the Beta Phi undergraduates to enjoy the same “brotherhood experience” that many of us enjoyed as students at the University of Arizona. In order to make a campaign donation you may utilize the Online Pledge form (download in pdf format as noted below) which will provide specific instructions on how to fill out your pledge form and where to mail your donation check. If you prefer to use the On-line Credit Card Donation alternative you may make your donation to the Sigma Chi Building Company as noted below. We encourage you to read the New House Capital Campaign update and the description of the recent Hall of Honor and Homecoming activities that are provided below.

Dear Brothers,

We want to extend a thank you to all of the current campaign donors for their donations and patience. Moreover, we are very appreciative of those Brothers that have been directly involved with the capital campaign leadership efforts. The Beta Phi undergraduate performance has been impressive – being the number one ranked fraternity on the University of Arizona campus for the past three years has not been an easy assignment. Clearly the undergraduates are deserving of our support and the importance of building a new Sigma Chi Fraternity house in order for the Beta Phi Chapter to retain their current “Number One” campus leadership position cannot be overemphasized.
