Beta Phi Consul Andrew Cole was recently awarded the chapter and province Balfour awards. The Southwestern province consists of seven chapters in Arizona and New Mexico and nearly 300 undergraduate members.
Cole is from Overland Park, Kan., and will graduate in December with a degree in engineering management and entrepreneurship and a minor in mechanical engineering. He was a member of Sophos and is on Sigma Chi’s Mission 365 board as one of two undergraduate members. He will be heading to Prague this summer for an internship with Johnson and Johnson.
“Most importantly, the province award is a reflection upon the environment created at Beta Phi, one which is conducive to helping young men grow in character and achieve their goals,” Cole said about the award. “This is in large part due to overwhelming support from our alumni and local community.”
Cole will be competing for the national Balfour award. The winner will be announced this summer.
