Beta Phi Sigs attend Grand Chapter in Charleston, S.C.

Beta Phi Sigs S. Jack Mcd\Duff ’51, Steve Schuyler ’79, William “Bill” Scott ’80 and undergraduate representative Brent Hanson 2010 attended the 77th Grand Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity held in beautiful Charleston, S.C. during the weekend of July 2-4.

Brother Schuyler was elected as a member of the Board of Grand Trustees of Sigma Chi and Southwestern Province Grand Praetor Bill Scott was elected Dean of the Praetorial College making him the chairman of all the grand praetors of the International Fraternity. Congratulations to both on their accomplishments. They have represented Beta Phi well.

Brother McDuff had the honor, along with former Grand Consul George Jones, of escorting new Grand Consul Wayne Tucker to the head of the banquet room for his installation as the 66th Grand Consul of Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Brothers Schuyler and Scott will be attending the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop to be held July 30-Aug. 2 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as facilitators and faculty members. Nine Beta Phi undergraduates will be assembling at UNC in various officer categories for leadership development training. Sigma Chi’s BLTW attracts over 1,300 undergrads and is unequaled in the fraternity world for its accomplishments and commitment to the development of young leaders at the undergraduate level.
