The Beta Phi Chapter had a successful recruiting effort this fall as all 36 bids extended were accepted out a group of 866 men who rushed.
The fall pledge class, the Eta class, has an average GPA of 3.1, and is involved in a variety of campus activities ranging from ASUA to the FLEX Club, a club started by Sigma Chi pledge Matt San Angelo.
The 36 bids were the most ever extended by the newly reconstituted chapter, recruitment chairman Robbie King said, “a testament to our brother recruiting 365 days a year.”
They are a very diverse group that will contribute greatly to the Beta Phi chapter, recruitment King said. The pledges meet on Sundays at 5 p.m., and Tuesdays at 9 p.m., both at the Sigma Chi house.
