Sigma Chi Veterans Pin

As we celebrate Veterans Day on Nov. 11, it is appropriate that we remember our Sigma Chi Brothers who have honorably served our nation, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice with their lives while serving in our two world wars, Korean, Vietnam and the Middle East.

The virtues displayed through one’s service to country brings honor to name of Sigma Chi and all of its members. In recognition of their service Sigma Chi Fraternity has commissioned the Sigma Chi Military Service Recognition Pin that all honorably discharged and current veterans are entitled to wear. The pin consists of a single Norman-style sword thrust upward with a small Sigma Chi Norman Shield with a cross embossed upon it placed upon the lower end of the blade just above the hilt and is to be worn on the brother’s lapel.

Brothers may nominate themselves or be nominated by one of their Brothers. The pin and its design were suggested by Brother Anthony Dauer, Theta Beta ’83, who served in the U.S. Navy from 1986-1990. This award was first presented at the 2007 Grand Chapter.

If you would like to apply for the pin, please fill out the nomination form.

You may also e-mail the form to militarypin@sigmachi.org. or fax it to Sigma Chi International Headquarters with the subject title, “Military Pin” to (847) 869-4906.

All honor to their names.
